Who Is The Best Player In Fantasy Baseball?

Where would you rank this player for fantasy baseball?

Player A: .297, 56 HR, 68 RBI, 113 R, 16 SB

This is a five-star player. He would have been the league leader in HR last season, and he can steal a base.

The only knock might be that RBI total; let's just say he believes in the Alfonso Soriano school of lineup construction.

Would he be better than this guy?

Player B: .301, 33 HR, 67 RBI, 125 R, 35 SB

Fantasy Baseball: Filling Out The Roster

While drafting a starting roster is eminently more important, how an owner uses their bench spots stands as a major piece to roster development. Strategy behind how to fill them varies, and can largely be dependent on your league settings.

In general, leagues are vastly becoming larger in size. This year, I'll be participating in leagues that have anywhere from 10 to 16 teams. The average seems to be about 12 teams in a given league. With that, there are only three to five spots on an average bench.

Expert Fantasy Baseball Draft Strategy Rounds 15-21

We continue our pick-by-pick coverage for the KFFL K-FAD Expert League Draft. To recap, the league is your standard roster (2 catchers, 5 OF) 5x5 rotisserie 12-team league. I get the chance to represent Fantasy Baseball Search to play against some of the toughest competitors and expert minds in the industry.

The third segment of the KFFL K-BAD expert league draft went much better then the second segment for my team. I was able to draft all the players I needed and wanted, plus thanks to this being an email draft I was able to discover some fantastic steals.

Fantasy Baseball Tips: Searching for This Year's Nate McLouth

Every MLB fantasy season there are sleepers that many people are totally unaware of. These players go unselected until the end of most drafts, where those fantasy owners that do indeed draft them, usually end up winning their entire league.

Last season Pittsburgh Pirates out-fielder Nate McLouth was a total no name going into the start of the season. During the first two months of the MLB season he hit .305 with 12 home runs. McLouth ended the year with a total of 23 home runs, 85 RBI, 101 runs, and 23 stolen bases.

Fantasy Baseball's Slow Starters

Injury News and Analysis: March 19th, 2009

Sorry for the delay but without further ado.

Cole Hamels’ evaluation came back relatively clean.  There was no structural damage after having an MRI and an ultrasound on his elbow and Philly fans can take a collectively sigh of relief.  He’s diagnosed with tendinitis, but Opening Day is still doubt.  The concern I have is the extreme jump in innings last year and the link to injury.  Additionally, I think you can get similar production much lower in the draft.
