1. Boston Red Sox (21-14, 1st LW)
They're the best team in baseball despite having to deal with a slew of injuries. This Red Sox team has more depth than any squad in a long time, which will continue to come into play throughout the season.
2. Toronto Blue Jays (23-13, 3rd LW)
No matter who takes the hill for the Blue Jays, they deliver. Toronto leads the AL with a .293 batting average and ranks fourth in the league with a 4.03 ERA from a pitching staff that's being held together by duct tape and bubble gum. It's scary, but their best days may be ahead of them.
3. Texas Rangers (20-14, 4th LW)
The Angels are coming on, but the Rangers are doing their best to play the role of division title contenders. Their pitching staff's 4.78 ERA doesn't look adequate until you consider the fact that the team is averaging 5.69 runs per game. The Rangers are 13-4 over their last 17 games.
4. Los Angeles Angels (18-15, 7th LW)
Don't look now, but here come the Angels. They're 8-2 over their last ten and have John Lackey and Ervin Santana coming back. It might not be long before LA is pacing the West once again.
5. Kansas City Royals (18-16, 2nd LW)
The Royals have lost five straight games, which is enough to drop KC in the very even American League. They still have the best ERA in the AL (3.67) and look like they are going to stick around in the Central.
