Major League Baseball: The All-Heavyset Team

The beauty of baseball is that anyone can play.

The tall, the short, the skinny, and even the fat prove their worth at the major league level. It's why so many of us played Little League—no matter how unathletic we are, or how different our body type is compared to the ideal "athlete," baseball is a sport that can be conquered by the atypical.

This is an homage to the best portly pitchers and massive mashers in the game today, weighted equally for results and rotundness (all stats and rankings current through the end of play 6/22/10).
