Balls sure have been flying out of the new Yankee Stadium as of late. The last two days alone have seen seven Yankee home runs. Mark has been more of a second half hitter, and is normally still getting adjusted in spring training.
After the All Star break is where he turns the jets on, as we saw when he was moved from Texas to Atlanta, and then from Atlanta to Anaheim.

An on-fire Teixeira is exactly what opposing clubs hope not to catch, and with the early season absence of Alex Rodriguez from the lineup, stellar production from him will also be quite timely.

In the grand scheme of MLB contracts and the New York Yankees, Teixeria seems like one of the more intelligent high-profile deals in quite some time.

In today’s game versus the Chicago Cubs, Tex started the campaign to add his name to the exclusive “Bronx Bombers Club” as he mashes two out of the park.

The short porch in right was not a factor, as either shot would have been well out of any park. The second homer went into the second deck.

These were homers No.  3 and 4 of the spring. His batting average over spring training is a blistering .433.
