Harvey's Arm 'Sore' After Being Hit During Game 1 Start

Mets manager Terry Collins said Monday that Harvey's right triceps is "pretty sore and swelled up," via Adam Rubin of ESPN, but added he was still scheduled to start Game 5.
Harvey threw in the outfield later Monday and said he is "good to go," via Mike Puma of the New York Post.
Harvey Vital to Mets' World Series Aspirations
While Harvey may have suffered from a case of "dead arm" back in May, he cleared that hurdle and has been one of the team's primary workhorses alongside Jacob deGrom.
Harvey missed the 2014 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery to repair a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow, but he has turned plenty of heads this year: He finished the 2015 campaign with a 13-8 record, 2.71 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 188 strikeouts in 189.1 innings.
Harvey's trajectory has been particularly positive, with month-over-month numbers pointing to steady improvement. After going 1-3 with a 3.15 ERA in May, Harvey went 2-2 with a 2.76 ERA in June. He followed that up with a 2-2 showing and 2.67 ERA in July, and he was 2-0 with a 0.33 ERA in August before going 2-1 with a 3.99 ERA in September and October.
Harvey's an important member of a pitching staff that's emerged as one of the most dominant units in the majors, and he's indispensable to the Mets' short- and long-term aspirations.
