Players Sticking It to Daniel Snyder

In a shocking turn of events, several members of the Washington NFL franchise are publicly stating their desire for ownership to give head coach Jim Zorn a vote of confidence.

“I wish someone upstairs would just say he’s going to be our coach for the season,” said one of the players. “That way, we don’t have to answer any more questions about it and everybody knows we’re in this boat together.”

Apparently, there were two prominent offensive players and one veteran defensive player making the anonymous comments.  If I had to guess, the two offensive players were likely Chris Cooley and Clinton Portis, who don’t particularly shy away from controversial statements.  And the defensive player, for my money, would be London Fletcher.

But isn’t it interesting that players are speaking anonymously when they’ve been no-holds-barred in recent days?

So, what we have here are fans threatening boycotts, players demanding action, and a unmovable owner running the asylum. Any guesses on how this goes down?
