Reds-Astros: Bailey Throws Eight K's as Reds Fall Late

Astros 7, Reds 2

The Cincinnati Reds lose again, dropping four straight games heading into their final game tomorrow.

Reds pitcher Homer Bailey looked very impressive, as he pitched six innings of four hit ball with two earned. Bailey had eight K's to only one walk.

Mike Lincoln came in the seventh inning and gave up two runs on two hits.

Relief Bill Bray came in and gave up two runs, followed by Jared Burton, who gave up one more run.

At the dish, infielder Adam Rosales had a HR off Roy Oswalt in the fourth and a two hit and two RBI day.

Homer Bailey also had a double and a single and later scored on a Rosales single.

The Reds' bats came up short again this spring, making it time to start to wonder a little bit if the Reds are lacking a player in the lineup who is a power hitter and has some pop.

The Reds are now 13-19 for the spring.

The Reds head to Ed Smith Stadium to play the Pirates in the final game there, as the Pirates move to Arizona for 2010.

The game kicks off at 1:05 and is the Reds' final spring training game.

Red Edinson Volquez will take on Bucs fellow righty Ian Snell.
