Here’s a look at some unheralded players who played well yesterday.

Javier Vazquez, New York Yankees

Vazquez gave up two runs on one hit with nine Ks over seven innings as he improved to 5-5 with a 5.63 ERA.

Jeff Francoeur, New York Mets

Francoeur went 2-for-4 with a HR (six) and three RBI. He’s hitting .268 with 33 RBI.

Drew Stubbs, Cincinnati Reds

Gaylord Perry threw the spitball, an illegal pitch that was outlawed in 1920.

The Chicago Cubs hold the 16^th selection in the 2010 MLB draft, which starts today.

So which player will they pick? Well, that depends on which players the teams take before them, obviously.

The 2010 MLB Draft is here. Tonight, all 30 teams will make their first-round selections and hope they have landed their respective franchise's next star. Leading the pack, and all the coverage and hype, is junior college star Bryce Harper.

Harper is a sign, sealed, and delivered lock to go number one overall to the Washington Nationals. From there, the baseball world will descend on the 17-year-old's head as it watches and waits for him, like last year's top pick Stephen Strasburg, to make his big league debut.

Bronson Arroyo was again the victim of bullpen mismanagement.

However he has a wide lead over his closest NL competitor Martin Prado who is hitting .328 and is eighth in the majors behind seven AL hitters. The next NL hitter is Joey Votto who is listed 12th with a .318 average and Albert Pujols is 14th with a .317 average.
