The August waiver trade window may not generate the same buzz as the July 31 non-waiver deadline, and we rarely see star-caliber players on the move in August, but that doesn't mean the deals made this past month won't have an impact on the postseason push.

While teams can technically still trade for players through the end of the season, a player has to be acquired by Aug. 31 in order to be eligible for the postseason roster.

Let's take a quick look at notable players who were on the move in August:

A young San Francisco Giants fan was shocked he didn't grab a foul ball that came his way during the team's game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday. 

All but one game on a packed Sunday Major League Baseball schedule is a matinee. That means a ton of options for DraftKings players. There's only so much salary to go around, so it's easy to get overwhelmed in this situation.

It's all about the eye test. I look at a player's numbers on the week, and if they make me cringe or begin to feel physically ill, then he's a candidate for inclusion.

OK, maybe that's a stretch—but the numbers don't lie, and for those unlucky enough to make the cut on this week's squad, their stats are downright ugly.

Addison Reed is on the move to his third team in as many years, as the New York Mets acquired the volatile reliever off waivers Saturday from the Arizona Diamondbacks, per ESPNNewYork.com's Adam Rubin. Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal confirmed the deal.
