Even the great ones stumble. So there's not necessarily cause for panic in Seattle after Felix Hernandez turned in another rough outing Friday night.

But man, that was one rough outing. 

In a few weeks, the National League will face off against the American League at Cincinnati's Great American Ballpark in the MLB All-Star Game. The Midsummer Classic is not just an exhibition, since home-field advantage in the World Series is at stake. 

Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts sustained a back injury after crashing into the wall while fielding a ball hit by Justin Smoak in the second inning of Friday's contest against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Betts Out of Lineup vs. Blue Jays

The Red Sox announced that Betts is absent from their lineup for Saturday's game vs. Toronto.

The New York Yankees called up Mason Williams less than 24 hours ago, and the young kid wasted no time making an impact. 

During the fourth inning against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday night, Williams hit a monster two-run home run to cut the Orioles' lead to two. It was the outfielder's first career hit.

Aroldis Chapman may be one of the best closers in baseball, but his value isn't all that high if he's not playing for a winning team. With the 27-year-old set to be a free agent after 2016, the Cincinnati Reds may soon be faced with a major dilemma regarding his future with the franchise.

Torii Hunter certainly got his money's worth as he argued a call and was subsequently ejected during the Minnesota Twins' 7-2 defeat to the Kansas Royals on Wednesday night. Now, it's really going to cost him.

Oakland Athletics switch-pitcher Pat Venditte has fallen victim to the injury bug that has forced him to be placed on the 15-day disabled list.

According to the A's official Twitter, Venditte has a strained right shoulder that will keep him out for at least the next 15 days:

The hits keep coming for the St. Louis Cardinals, as Lance Lynn will be out for at least two weeks with a forearm injury.

Lynn Placed on DL

The Cardinals announced that Lynn was placed on the 15-day-disabled list, retroactive to June 8, and recalled Tyler Lyons to replace him.  

Los Angeles Angels first baseman Albert Pujols achieved yet another milestone (or two) in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays, taking sole possession of 16th place on the all-time home runs list and tying Manny Ramirez for 14th place (1,122) on the all-time extra-base hits list, per Sportsnet Stats.
