Slowly but surely, MLB's hot stove is starting to cool down.

The Arizona Diamondbacks needed to be active this offseason after an MLB-worst 64-98 record in 2014.

Whether it's an aging star who's breaking down or a superstar who's recovering from an offseason surgery, just about every team in the league already has health concerns.

The list of big-name stars goes on and on. So to try and make things easier to digest, I broke down some of the biggest injuries by division.

It's inevitable.

There will be more than one offseason transaction that won't work out in 2015. It happens every season, with B.J. Upton, Shin-Soo Choo and Josh Hamilton as recent examples.

It's a phenomenon that no team is immune to. Baseball is a game of failure, ultimately leading to larger fluctuations in production than in any other professional sport. You pay a player based off of what he's done, but those former numbers are often fool's gold in terms of future value. 

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig has become quite a star, and the 24-year-old has treated himself by buying a beautiful new mansion in Sherman Oaks, California.

The $1.8 million mansion is 4,663 square feet and includes six bedrooms and six bathrooms. You can see some more pictures of Puig's new house below:

The Colorado Rockies may be looking to trade a former All-Star, though not the one most are expecting. Outfielder Charlie Blackmon is reportedly the subject of discussions involving other teams.  

According to Jon Morosi and Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports.com, the Rockies are motivated to move Blackmon soon to take advantage of the value he built up last year:

The MLB free-agent market now consists of Max Scherzer, James Shields and everyone else. But beyond Scherzer and Shields, there are still a handful of valuable players to be had. And as the market gets thinner, those assets will only become increasingly valuable as teams try to fill their remaining roster voids.

Congratulations, it's officially close enough to MLB's Opening Day to start studying for fantasy baseball drafts without feeling like a weirdo.

Well, probably. This is coming from someone sifting through numbers since October. Either way, everyone is collectively opening the doors to their fantasy baseball preparation. Slowly but surely, rankings and mock drafts will emerge, and your time will be consumed.

In a big-picture sense, spring training doesn't mean anything. In fact, here's a helpful analogy: Spring training is to meaningful baseball what Adam Dunn's career ERA is to meaningful pitching.

But on an individual level...OK, fine. That's where spring training can actually matter. Though most players come into spring training simply looking to get ready for the upcoming season, others come needing to prove something.

Projecting prospects is as much a baseball pastime as hot dogs, brush-back heaters and PEDs.

Debates ensue, disappointment is ever present and the occasional can’t-miss gem actually doesn’t miss. So is the way of the prospect world, one filled with teenagers and young 20-somethings full of unpredictability in a game that relies heavily on seeing the future.
