The Baltimore Orioles have already undergone many changes this offseason, so it's no surprise the rumor mill is churning out more buzz for the American League East Champions.

According to Dan Connolly of The Baltimore Sun, left-handed pitcher Wei-Yin Chen is the hottest commodity on the Orioles' roster. 

One month in, Major League Baseball's free-agent market hasn't been lacking for action. Per ESPN.com, over $600 million has already been spent on free-agent contracts.

But by now, you've probably noticed the weirdness. If not, it's like this: Though the open market is saturated with quality pitching—particularly starting pitching—it's hitters who are hogging the cash so far.

Major League Baseball’s annual winter meetings are nearly upon us, with the events to be held on Dec. 8-11 in San Diego, California.

With front-office personnel and executives present from all 30 teams, the winter meetings typically produce both high-profile free-agent signings and blockbuster trades. And with every team evaluating their rosters for the 2015 season, prospects are often the deciding factor when it comes to an offseason deal.

Thanks in large part to the early run on position players, most of the best talent on this winter's free-agent market is already spoken for.

But fret not. With Major League Baseball executives and player agents set to gather in San Diego for the winter meetings this coming week, the free-agent market isn't completely devoid of top talent just yet. There's still plenty to talk about.

Almost immediately upon his MLB debut, Yasiel Puig emerged as one of Major League Baseball's most popular players. Riding that wave of momentum, the Los Angeles Dodgers star can now add video game cover boy to his resume.

In case you hadn't heard, the New York Yankees needed a new shortstop for 2015. Derek Jeter's retirement has left a void that will be impossible for anyone to replace, given his standing with fans and Hall of Fame credentials, but the front office addressed the situation in the best possible way. 

The New York Yankees landed one of the better free agents in the pond Friday. The problem is he does not make them much better.

Highly coveted free-agent pitcher Andrew Miller reportedly agreed to a four-year, $36 million deal with the New York Yankees on Friday.

History suggests the St. Louis Cardinals rarely go all-in during the offseason.

While the Chicago Cubs are still trying to make key signings on the free-agent market, when the front office makes its way to the MLB winter meetings Monday, it will also be looking to make some trades. The Cubs have already been linked to several deals this offseason and could be interested in several more.
