Hisashi Iwakuma is staying in Washington, after all.

After originally agreeing to leave the Seattle Mariners for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Iwakuma signed a new deal with the Mariners on Thursday for 2016 with options for 2017 and 2018, per Shannon Drayer of ESPN Radio in Seattle.

The Mariners posted a video of general manager Jerry Dipoto announcing the re-signing of Iwakuma:

According to Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune, the San Diego Padres re-signed right-handed pitcher Brandon Morrow to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training Thursday.

The team has not disclosed the figures of the contract.

The Toronto Blue Jays signed veteran pitcher Brad Penny to a minor league deal Thursday with an invitation to spring training, according to ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick. The team has not released the figures of the contract.

According to Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca, the deal includes a player opt-out option at the end of spring training.

The Baltimore Orioles agreed to a deal with star South Korean left fielder Hyun-soo Kim on Wednesday, pending a physical, according to the Baltimore Sun's Dan Connolly.

The Los Angeles Angels continue to add depth in the outfield, signing Daniel Nava on Wednesday to a one-year contract for 2016. 

Veteran outfielder Rajai Davis agreed to a deal with the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday, pending a physical, according to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman. Per Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal, it's a one-year deal that is believed to be worth $5.25 million plus incentives.

Despite having a loaded starting rotation heading into 2016, the New York Mets have decided to bring right-hander Bartolo Colon back for one more season. 

Per Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, citing "initial reports" from the Dominican Republic, Colon's deal with the Mets will pay him $7.25 million next year, pending a physical.    

The New York Mets announced Tuesday they re-signed relief pitcher Jerry Blevins to a one-year contract.

Not content to stand pat with their current bullpen alignment, the Pittsburgh Pirates have signed free-agent right-hander Juan Nicasio. 

The Washington Nationals have reached an agreement Thursday to trade infielder Yunel Escobar to the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for pitchers Trevor Gott and Michael Brady, announced the Angels.
