Share the Wealth: Teams That Should Be Broken Up

In every sport, there’s at least one team that seems to “stack the deck,” meaning rack up all the talent so that no one else can have any and the stacked team wins championship after championship. Sometimes, the team has so much talent, that great players languish on the bench, and they could be starring someplace else. When I say “broken up,” I mean that the teams should get rid of some of their talent so other teams have a chance at having a good team. McMullen’s Musings takes a look at teams that should do just that.

JJ Hardy's Future Isn't With The Milwaukee Brewers

JJ Hardy has recently become the center of attention lately in regard to trade talks for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Hardy may very well be the "Golden Boy" of Wisconsin sports. He's the player that all the men want to be and all the women want to be with. If you doubt that, take a good listen at Miller Park the next time the starting lineup is announced.

Never in the history of baseball has a career .265 hitter been so adored by fans. To hear some fans talk, you would think that a young Robin Yount was taking the field at short.

Mets-Phillies: Cole Hamels Will Be the Ultimate Test for New York

Last night was about as grueling a game as you can play, and considering the offensive show that the Phillies put on, the Mets were fortunate to pull the game out. Johan Santana was not at his best, but he kept the team in the game, and a Ryan Church homer in the seventh made the difference.

Tonight is a new story. The Mets will go to battle with the Phillies’ cream of the crop, Cole Hamels. Hamels is coming off his best start of the season, when he five-hit the Manny-less Dodgers in a complete game shutout.

Joe Girardi Thinks He Is Merlin As Yanks Lose Sixth Straight to Boston

The New York Yankees were destroyed in Fenway Park Tuesday night, losing to Boston 7-0.

This is the sixth straight loss the Yankees have suffered at the hands of their archnemesis, the Boston Red Sox.

It has become apparent that Joe Girardi thinks the New York Yankees cap with the interlocking N/Y is actually Merlin's magician's cap.

Girardi is convinced that he is a conjurer, a Merlin capable of experiments that will lead to magical results.

He simply cannot avoid the temptation to experiment like a wizard or a mad scientist

Josh Vitters: When Will He Reach Wrigley Field?

Peoria's got something cooking that might look nice at Wrigley some time soon.

The Chiefs have a young, not-yet 20-year-old kid at third base that was named the Midwest League Offensive Player of the Week last week and his knocking the cover off the ball.

Josh Vitters, the Cubs' top draft pick in 2007, is dominating Double-A ball right now, living up to his billing as the top prospect in the Cubs' organization.
