An Open Letter to Jo-Jo Reyes

Hey Jo-Jo, how's it going?

Just thought I'd let you in on a little secret: you're not "the man."

In fact, you are far from it.

When your team loses, according to the Peachtree TV crew, 15 straight of your appearances, it's not them, it's you.

You make me utterly sick every time you step on the mound because I know what's about to happen.

Hold on, I take that back, two out of three times I know what's going to happen.

Your inconsistencies bring tears to my eyes.

But, don't worry.

My utter distaste for you will soon be over, as you'll finally find your niche.

Yes, I really believe that.

It'll be in AAA.  Burn in Gwinnett, Reyes.

I believe management will find the perfect spot for you down there, takng Tommy Hanson's spot.

Last year, you had the luxury of the Braves having zero ML-ready minor league help.

That's different now.

Hanson, Redmond, and Medlen can ALL outperform you, they're just being held back for business purposes.

I don't want to hear about your good starts, they aren't good enough if the team doesn't win.

I'll give a fifth starter with potential help behind him three rough games for a year, and you've surpassed that.

Look, I havn't been a fan of your's since the mid-April when you got the call instead of Hanson.

You've also never impressed me with your natural ability.

But you have impressed me with how much you have allowed me to utterly HATE one of the players on my own team.

Earlier, I put you on a lost of expendable Braves.

I still believe that.

However, I believe that your value will allot the Braves a groundskeeper.

Jo-Jo, I wish you the best in your future endeavours, just don't burn my fries when you're assembling my Big Mac.

Sincerely,

Cameron Britt
