Just over two weeks into the Major League Baseball season and we have already seen our fair share of surprises from clubs like the Indians and Royals off to hot starts, along with teams like the struggling Tigers and Red Sox.

Last night's game was the last straw for the New York Yankees!

Brett Gardner and Derek Jeter have proven finally and forever that they should not be at the top of the order for the Yankees.

Gardner struck out three times in the game against the Baltimore Orioles, stranding runners in critical situations and proving that he is just not ready to hit leadoff on a major league roster.

The Boston Red Sox are indeed struggling, but their matchup on Friday against Brett Cecil could be exactly what they are looking for. 

Brett Cecil, the Jays’ team leader in wins last year with 15, is a major cog in the “Hustle and Heart” campaign the club is running with, yet Cecil is struggling mightily with no explanation as to why. 

From Palm Springs to City of Palms, Red Sox Nation has sought professional help for their stressful inability to handle the agony of defeat.

As for ownership, they have applied from the city of Boston for a license to offer mixed drinks at Fenway to help fans cope with the most expensive, losing team in Sox history.

As a 7' outfielder who kills Yankees and Red Sox by the hundreds with fireballs from his eyes and bolts of lightning from his arse, Tampa Bay Rays' Sam Fuld burst onto the fantasy baseball landscape with a 4-6 performance against the rival Sox, including two doubles and a home run. 

This is NOT a list of the two greatest hitters for each team. This is a list of the greatest individual seasons for two hitters on each team. 

Steroids are ignored. Barry Bonds is on this list. So is Alex Rodriguez (twice, actually, and not with the Yankees). Rafael Palmeiro, Manny Ramirez, and other known or assumed users are here. 

Listed by division, not ranked by greatness. 

Major League Baseball formally released the draft order for this June’s draft this afternoon.

When the Yankees signed Pedro Feliciano over the winter, they were hoping for the strong effort he used to give the Mets in every performance.

The Yankees will have to wait at least a year for that because it looks like Feliciano is done before he ever throws a pitch for the Yankees in 2011.

I wrote the article below a few months back as part of my application to Bleacher Report. I predicted that Troy Tulowitzki and Adrian Gonzalez would win their league's respective MVP awards. The Boston Red Sox have gotten off to a horrid start, but it's still April.

Are my points still valid? What new factors support or contest my AL MVP prediction? You be the judge.

The trials and tribulations of Daisuke Matsuzaka.

Matsuzaka and the Red Sox should have seen it coming.  The answer was right there in front of them.  It was obvious to me. 

How did I know something that all of them didn’t?

Well, I saw the movie Mr. Baseball.
