Boston Red Sox Fans Shouldn't Panic, Baltimore Orioles Fans Should Be Realistic

It's very early in the season and panic is already settling in for the fans of a certain team and the fans of another team are overly excited.

I'm mainly talking about the fans of the Boston Red Sox and the Baltimore Orioles.

One team hasn't won a game yet, while the other has only lost once.  The season is one week old today and they've only played five games out of 162.

Yogi Berra: 'It's Deja Vu All Over Again' and His 25 Greatest Quotes

In addition to his baseball abilities, Berra is also famous for his quotes. These witticisms, known as Yogi-isms, are known and loved by many baseball fans. Some of these quotes are among the most famous of all quotes in baseball and are used over and over by announcers.

As a fun fact, Yogi Berra also used to own a house in my hometown. There are rumors that he buried a home plate under the carpet in the basement of that house.

Lack Of Hitters Will Doom Tampa Bay Rays

So much for the Tampa Bay Rays being a playoff team.

After watching them in this homestand, they are 0-5 for a reason. They feature no hitters that scare the other team. It's not surprising Jeremy Guthrie, Chris Tillman, Zach Britton, Jered Weaver and Dan Haren had their way with them.

1927 Yankees Vs. 1961 Yankees: Who's Better? A Position by Position Breakdown

Many consider the 1927 New York Yankees the greatest MLB team ever assembled.

Most of this credit is given to the heralded “Murderer’s Row” lineup including Hall of Fame inductees Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Tony Lazzeri, and Earle Combs—though having two Hall of Fame pitchers in Herb Pennock and Waite Hoyt certainly didn’t hurt.

Others would argue for the 1961 Yankees—a star-studded roster in its own right with Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Yogi Berra, Elston Howard, and Whitey Ford.

Boston Red Sox Lose Again: If Only Adrian Gonzalez Could Pitch

Daisuke Matsuzaka hasn't won a game for the Boston Red Sox in a long time.

In his first start of the 2011 season, the Red Sox were defeated Wednesday night by the Cleveland Indians, 8-4. Matsuzaka pitched five innings, giving up six hits and three earned runs.

His last winning start was on September 2, 2010, against the Baltimore Orioles.

MLB: Lack Of Hitting Haunts Tampa Bay Rays

So much for the Rays being a playoff team.

After watching them in this homestand, they showed why they are 0-5. They feature no hitters that scare the other team. It's not surprising Jeremy Guthrie, Chris Tillman, Zach Britton, Jered Weaver and Dan Weaver had their way against them.

These fives games are not an aberration. This should be expected. After losing Carl Crawford and Carlos Pena this offseason, their lineup was not going to better. This will be their downfall this season.

2011 New York Yankees: 10 Hottest WAGs of the Bronx Bombers

The Yankees, the most famous team in baseball and probably in all sports, are the symbol of winning. Being a Yankee does not just mean you will be a championship contender year after year...it also means you will be able to land some of the most attractive women in the world.

We will look at (and admire) the 10 hottest female counterparts of the Bronx Bombers 2011 team.

MLB 2011: Is It Safe to Say the Baltimore Orioles Are a Legitimate Contender?

Last year in the early parts of the season, the Orioles were in a bad position.

Kevin Millwood was brought in, but it didn't seem like the solution for the next couple of years.

Mike Gonzalez, who was signed to close games, struggled since the first game and went down with a injury.

Nick Markakis seemed to be slowly declining, while Brian Roberts would miss around 100 games due to a foot injury.

Adam Jones was mightily struggling.

Boston Red Sox: For the Fenway Faithful, the Sky Is Falling

The Red Sox are 0-4, one of only three winless teams in the majors behind the Houston Astros and Tampa Bay Rays. Their pitching has looked shaky, and the offense has disappeared the past two games. John Lackey, supposedly ten pounds lighter, looks like the same bum from last season. Carl Crawford, their prized $142 million acquisition, is hitting a mighty .133 and has been bounced around in the order twice in four games. They now turn their lonely eyes to that bastion of consistency, Daisuke Matzusaka, to put an end to their misery.

Mark Teixeira: What Teixeira's Hot Start Means for the NY Yankees

Looks like summer has come early for Mark Teixeira this year.  After two abysmal starts to the past two seasons, Teixeira is starting off 2011 very strong.  The Yankees first basemen, hitting his fourth home run of the season in just his fifth game, looks very comfortable up at the plate and is doing a lot better than he usually does in the month of April.
