Jason Heyward signed an eight-year, $184 million contract with the Chicago Cubs this offseason after spending 2015 with the St. Louis Cardinals.

Yu Darvish missed the entirety of the 2015 season following Tommy John surgery, and the Texas Rangers starting pitcher could be out of the rotation for another month upon the start of the 2016 campaign.

Rangers general manager Jon Daniels told Fox Sports' Jon Morosi on MLB Network Radio that Darvish could return in the middle of May.  

According to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman, the Colorado Rockies have agreed to a three-year extension worth $10.4 million with reliever Adam Ottavino on Saturday.

Following a three-year stint with the Cleveland Indians, Mike Aviles is headed to the Detroit Tigers on a one-year deal, the team announced.

ESPN's Buster Olney initially reported the deal.

The team has not disclosed the financial terms.

On Friday, the Pittsburgh Pirates announced they reached a one-year agreement with the veteran right-handed pitcher, who played for the Bucs from 2001 to 2006:

The Chicago White Sox signed right-handed pitcher Nate Jones to a three-year, $8 million extension Friday, according to ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick. By inking the new deal, Jones will forego his final two years of arbitration eligibility. 

The Texas Rangers and veteran starting pitcher Colby Lewis reportedly reached an agreement on a one-year, $6 million deal late Thursday.

The term “untouchable” is always relative, and the parameters of it depend on the organization and front office that hold said player who might be off limits in trade discussions.
