Chien-Ming Wang

Chien-Ming Wang Would Like To Pitch for Dodgers If He Can't Return to Yankees

On Friday November 20, Chien Ming Wang spoke to reporters in Taiwan about his questionable future with the New York Yankees organization. Wang has been plagued by injuries the last two years and is no longer the Yankees ace pitcher.

When speaking to reporters in Taiwan, Wang said that the Yankees are his "first choice". But afterwards mentioned that he would be alright pitching for any other major league team.

Chien-Ming Wang: The Arm That Isn't Available…Yet

Chien-Ming Wang is a member of the World Champion New York Yankees, for now.

The 29-year-old right-handed starter is eligible for arbitration this winter and the Yankees have until the December 12 deadline to offer him a contract for next season, something that doesn’t appear likely.

Chien-Ming Wang Diagnosis: Foot is Still Catalyst of Disaster

Yankees starter Chien-Ming Wang has once again shot himself in the foot.

I mean this figuratively, of course, and am in no way insinuating another Plaxico Burress nightmare.

What's Wrong With Chien Ming Wang?

Chien Ming Wang used to be the Yankees' ace. Now it seems more like he's pitching batting practice.

Wang claims that he feels like he's pitching the same as he always has. That may be the problem. Pitchers and hitters don't run in place, they adjust. American League hitters may now be adjusting to Wang, while he isn't adjusting to them.

Chien-Ming Wang: A Buy Low Opportunity?

Chien-Ming Wang, a starting pitcher for the New York Yankees, has had an absolutely terrible start to the season.  In three starts this season, his record is 0-3 with an ERA of 34.50 and a 2/6 K/BB ratio.  Is this guy worth taking a chance on in your fantasy league?

Prior to the start of this season, Wang had been showing declining control.

2006: 2.1 BB/9

2007: 2.7 BB/9

2008: 3.3 BB/9

What to Do with Chien-Ming Wang

It looks like the Yankees are going to skip Chien-Ming Wang's start on Friday in Fenway Park. They have a off day on Thursday and it looks like they may have Wang throw a simulated game of 80-100 pitches, they can also stop him during the game and correct some mechanical issues.

Yankee Stadium: 21st Century Bandbox or Just Bad Pitching?

New Stadium Playing Much Differently Than Planned

Three games have been played at the new Yankee Stadium thus far and 17 HRs have been hit. Add the eight hit in the exhibition games against the Cubs and that's 25 HRs in five games, or for you shellshocked Yankee fans, five HR per game.

Yankees, and Maybe Even the MLB, in Need Of Serious Overhaul

The Yankees lost a miserable game today to the Cleveland Indians in the opening series of their New Yankee Stadium by the score of 22-4, with a 14 run second-inning put up by the Indians (the most ever given up by the Yankees in a single frame).

Normally, I'm not one to put down the Yankees in April considering for the past 5 years or so they've struggled in April and soared in the second half.

However, the new stadium epitomizes in every way that the New York Yankees are a business related franchise.

Chien-Ming “Wrong”: An Aberration Has Officially Become a Trend

Yankees' starter Chien-Ming Wang came into Saturday afternoon’s game against the Cleveland Indians with a 0-2 record and 28.93 ERA.

In allowing 15 hits and six walks in just 4.2 innings pitched, Wang looked more like a minor league journeyman than a man who finished runner-up for the Cy Young award just three years ago.
