After Being Unfairly Forced to Wait, Craig Biggio Finally Gets Earned HOF Nod

The 2015 MLB Hall of Fame class has officially been announced, as it will be a four-player class of Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, John Smoltz and Craig Biggio earning enshrinement in the hallowed halls of Cooperstown this year.

The three pitchers are each first-ballot selections and deservedly so, as they were among the greatest to ever toe the rubber. But for Biggio, it took three tries to finally gain induction.

Carlos Beltran Nears Exclusive 300-300-2,000 Club

One St. Louis Cardinal is rapidly making his way toward a rather exclusive club this season. Carlos Beltran is within hitting distance, no pun intended, of the 300-300-2000 club.

This status is reserved for players who have hit 300 home runs, stolen 300 bases and amassed 2,000 hits over their career. Lots of talk has floated about Beltran hitting 300-300, but the 2,000 hasn’t gotten much attention.

Not all of the Astros' picks have been flops. Houston has delivered its fair share of All-Star talent on draft day, including a future Hall of Famer, one of the most dominant pitchers of the last 40 years and two players who were among the premier standouts of the past decade.

So sit down and enjoy as we count down the ten best draft picks in Houston Astros history.

MLB 9s: Houston Astros—Jeff Bagwell, Jimmy Wynn, Alan Ashby In Top Team

One question, hundreds of answers: Which Astro had the greatest offensive season at his position?

Major League baseball has been asking fans this same question in an effort to choose each team's best-ever collection of stars.

They are calling it MLB 9s.

Scroll down to find out why Lance Berkman doesn't make the cut, why Dickie Thon should be remembered as a Hall-of-Famer whose career got cut short, and why Craig Biggio was so much more than just "Mr. Hit By Pitch".
