With the news that Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren made their divorce official and with Frank and Jamie McCourt’s divorce starting tomorrow, August 30th, let’s take a look at some of the other big splits in the professional sports world.

With the calendar flipping to March and the Olympics a thing of the past, we can call look settle in for Spring Training and the upcoming baseball regular season. While fans will be watching their favorite pitchers, hitters and coaches prepare for the season, behind these select players are smoking WAGs who will catch plenty of attention in her own right.

These players attached to these WAGs will face various successes and failures during the season, but they all return home to a woman that will make them feel like winners.

The game of baseball has been around since the 1800s but in the 1980s, a new way to play America’s favorite game was invented. 1985 saw the release of the Nintendo Entertainment System, an 8-bit way for kids to have fun. Many games were released for the gaming console, the most famous probably being Super Mario Brothers.

After the NES there was the Sega Genesis, the Super Nintendo, the Playstation, the Nintendo 64, Playstation 2, Game Cube, and Xbox…and the list goes on and on and on.

With these new gaming systems came a broad variety of baseball games.

Matt Kemp and Rihanna are still in Mexico, and they don't care who knows it. But there is always that saying, "Behind every successful man, there is a beautiful woman," the Yankees hold true to this saying. Everyone who has had the good fortune to read Alan Moore's "Watchmen" knows that it is one of the greatest literary works of all time. Entertainment Weekly called it the 13th-best book since 1983. Time Magazine called it one of the 100 best novels since 1923. "Watchmen" is the only comic to appear on either list. What makes "Watchmen" special is its incredibly complex characters. Most of the so-called superheroes have no actual powers. They are human, with regular human flaws and weaknesses, albeit somewhat exaggerated because of their circumstances.

It's official, ESPN's Steve Phillips has amazing taste in women. It was released today that Phillips had an affair with another lower level ESPN employee, Brooke Hundley. Phillips ended the affair and was then harassed and stalked by this "lovely" lady. She then proceeded to leave a letter on the front steps of the Phillips home addressed to Steve's wife.
