Giancarlo Stanton Saves a Run with Spectacular Leaping Catch into Wall

Everyone knows the Miami Marlins' Giancarlo Stanton has tremendous power at the plate. What doesn't get talked about is the right fielder's underrated defense.

In the bottom of the second inning of Monday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Stanton robbed Pirates third baseman Josh Harrison of an extra-base hit and an RBI with a great leaping grab. If Stanton doesn't make the catch, Pittsburgh takes a 4-1 lead and the speedy Harrison may end up on third.

Bartolo Colon Singles on Line Drive, Tags Up and Hustles to 3rd Base on Fly Ball

One day after celebrating his 42nd birthday, New York Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon is showing that age is just a number.

Colon led off the bottom of the fifth inning of Monday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies with a line-drive single to left field. It was the second hit of the season for the pitcher, matching his total from a season ago. Crazily, his helmet managed to stay on his head as he swung the bat.

Mets' Lucas Duda Hits Home Run That's Grabbed by Sailor on Memorial Day

Well, this is fitting.

With the New York Mets trailing the Philadelphia Phillies 2-1 on Monday, Lucas Duda's solo shot ended up in the most appropriate hands possible on Memorial Day: those of someone who has served in the military.

The homer tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the third inning.
