San Francisco Giants outfielder Angel Pagan will not start Tuesday night’s game against the San Diego Padres thanks to a laceration in his middle finger.

Although the Washington Nationals added starting pitcher Max Scherzer in the offseason, Stephen Strasburg is a key member of the team's starting rotation and an expected front-line starter. Losing him is one of the last things the team needs, but Strasburg suffered a shoulder injury Tuesday in a 2-1 loss to the visiting Miami Marlins.

New York Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon is in the middle of just his second full season in the National League, and he's still not the best in the batter's box.

In the bottom of the third inning on Tuesday, the 41-year-old was at the plate against Baltimore Orioles hurler Bud Norris. On an 0-2 count, Colon struck out swinging, losing his helmet in the process. 

Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Alex Cobb has a partially torn ligament in his right elbow and may need season-ending surgery.

The Los Angeles Dodgers finished the first month of their 2015 campaign right where they left off last regular season—atop the National League West standings.

It’s been somewhat of an unexpected first few weeks for the Boys in Blue, who were projected to experience a drop-off in power when they traded away Matt Kemp and let Hanley Ramirez walk in free agency.

The second game of the Toronto Blue Jays' three-game series with the New York Yankees is underway at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.  

The Blue Jays (13-14) held New York (16-10) to only one run Monday night, just the third time all season they've allowed less than two runs in a game. Righty Marco Estrada will make the start after making six appearances out of Toronto's bullpen. He replaces Daniel Norris in the Blue Jays rotation as they attempt to sort out Major League Baseball's third-worst ERA.  

Appearing on Monday night’s The Late Show with David Letterman, Will Ferrell reminded us that while everyone has a Harry Caray impression, his is the only one that matters.

Ferrell joined David Letterman onstage to talk about important topics like the host's upcoming retirement and President Barack Obama’s hand in bringing down the Berlin Wall.
