Back in spring training, before the real fake games began, as it were, we provided two sets of sleepers. It's time for a few more.

The first was a batch of 25 names to know, primarily for shallow leagues. The second set comprised 20 more players who qualified as even deeper sleepers.

Every selection in daily fantasy baseball requires careful consideration for a number of factors. You only get one day to make your mark, so you don't want to waste a pick at any position.

With a full set of games Saturday, the key will be to take advantage of the best matchups both at the plate and on the mound. It's tough to predict the future, but you can give yourself a great chance of having success by following this strategy.

Texas Rangers first baseman and designated hitter Mitch Moreland is dealing with an elbow injury that forced him to get scratched from Friday's lineup. He could miss a couple of weeks as a result.

Every MLB article you read over the season's first few weeks should come with that disclaimer. We're through 10 games, so it's way too early to make judgements on what we've seen over 2015's first few games. That goes for some underachieving teams, who are primed to take off as the season kicks in to high gear. 

My, how quickly the 2015 Major League Baseball season is growing up. It's already two weeks old!

However, we can't just stand idly by and watch the season mature. We need to study it and discuss what we've learned.

We all knew the script. In his return from a season-long suspension, Alex Rodriguez was supposed to be over-the-hill dead weight in the middle of the New York Yankees' lineup in 2015.

Evidently, he must have lost his copy. All of a sudden, A-Rod is clobbering the ball all over the place and, in doing so, carrying an otherwise sluggish Yankees offense on his shoulders.

Alcides Escobar didn't miss a single game in 2014, but less than two weeks into the 2015 campaign, he looks destined for a spell on the bench. Escobar exited Friday night's game against the Oakland Athletics.

Escobar Suffers Mild Knee Sprain

The Kansas City Royals announced that the initial diagnosis of Escobar's injury is a mild sprain of his left knee.

Many would argue that Mike Trout is without peer in today's MLB. On Friday night, he set himself apart in the baseball record books. 

In the top of the sixth inning against the Houston Astros, the Los Angeles Angels outfielder drilled a two-run homer off Roberto Hernandez to give his team a 3-1 lead.

"Just give him the Gold Glove now."

That was the announcer's reaction to Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar's amazing catch in left field on Friday night.

In the sixth inning of the Blue Jays' game vs. the Atlanta Braves, Pillar sprinted toward the infield chasing after a Freddie Freeman flare.
