Here we are, right back where we started.

As March approaches and actual games are on the horizon, the time to break down position battles is upon us. As far as Cactus and Grapefruit League games go, they might not count toward reaching October, but for players involved in these toss-ups, they are ever meaningful. 

You wouldn't expect a team with five straight seasons of at least 87 losses to be all the rage heading into a new season. The Chicago Cubs, however, have worked hard to be an exception.

Last week, it was time for pitchers and catchers to report to spring training. This week, it was everyone else's turn.

In other words: It's on, people.

Mind you, there are still a couple days to go before the exhibition season gets going next Tuesday, March 3, and more than a month to go until Opening Day. It's going to be a while before the top storylines and questions of spring training are resolved.

But with Week 2 of spring training just about in the bag, we can at least get up to date on the 10 biggest questions in the spring. So let's get to it.

The Detroit Tigers project to be contenders once again in 2015. They will head into the new season as favorites to clinch the American League Central Division title for the fifth straight year.

Pitchers and catchers reported last week to their respective clubs for spring training, and now the full squads have shown up ready to get back into playing shape.

The Baltimore Orioles will be looking to get right back into things, as they will be looking to defend their AL East division crown from last season and will be striving to be serious contenders once again in a much improved American League.

Spring training is now underway for the Boston Red Sox in Fort Myers, Florida. The Red Sox have 57 players in camp preparing for the 2015 season. In addition to the full 40-man roster, there are also 17 non-roster invitees trying to prove they belong.

It's a cliche worn past the point of usefulness: Everyone's a contender in the spring. This year, it could have the benefit of being true.

The Toronto Blue Jays’ first major injury of 2015 came before the team had even played a single spring training game.

The Toronto Blue Jays are hoping that Johan Santana can return to something resembling his 2004 and 2006 Cy Young-winning form. According to Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News, the Jays agreed to a minor league deal with the veteran lefty.

The Los Angeles Dodgers underwent their first full workout of spring training this week, officially turning the page on a busy offseason and opening the 2015 chapter with high hopes.
