New York Yankees

Yankees Twin Towers, Betances and Brackman, are Back!

Andrew Brackman and Dellin Betances stand at 6-foot-10 and 6-foot-8 respectively, and it is their size and their high ceilings that have earned them the nickname the “Twin Towers.”

Yankees Draft Profiles: Rounds 1-39

We here at Bronx Baseball Daily are running through the draft picks. All 50 players that the Yankees drafted will be profiled. It’s been a long process, but so far we have gone through and profiled every player from rounds 1-39.

It’s a lot to take in at once, so I have provided this handy post with links to each player we’ve covered so far.

Yankees Notes: A-Rod, Mitre, Logan, JB Cox, Winfree

The CC Sabathia-Roy Halladay faceoff didn’t end up being the pitcher’s duel it was billed to be. The Yankees tagged Halladay for three home runs and Sabathia struggled with consistency as the Yanks won 8-3 to stay in first place.

Pitching Preview: Champs vs. Phillies Game 3 will be looking at a pair of veterans on Thursday’s match-up, in this 2009 World Series revival between the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Yankees .

Game 3:

Phillies-Yankees: Yankees Win Series Rematch Opener

During his 12 years in Toronto, Roy Halladay was usually lights out against the Yankees. Now with Philadelphia, Halladay was looking to continue his dominance of New York on Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium.

The Yankees roughed up Halladay for six runs, including three home runs, as the Yankees topped Philadelphia, 8-3, in the opener of three-game series featuring last year’s World Series participants.

The New York Yankees: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Segment No. 4

This is the latest installment of the 2010 New York Yankee progress, honoring the epic Clint Eastwood movie of the same name. According to the astute readers of imdb.com, the Baseball-Reference of the movie and T.V. industry, "Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo " is ranked as the No. 4 movie of all time .

With The Doc In, Time For CC Sabathia to Step Up

Complaining about CC Sabathia's sluggish start with the Yankees is kind of like Tom Brady complaining that Gisele Bundchen hogs the covers when they're in bed.

No one feels sorry for you. Get over yourself. And screw you for even bringing this up in mixed company.

Yankees fans are used to this apathetic mentality. New York's 40-23 mark entering Tuesday's action is tied for the best record in baseball, and as such, the fanbase would probably be wise to keep the griping to a minimum, lest a poor Orioles fan overhear any of the conversation and drive into a wall at 120 MPH.

Yankee Notes: Brett Gardner, David Winfree, Draft Signings, and Staten Island

The Yankees had an off-day yesterday and are getting ready for a big week as they have a World Series rematch against the Phillies coming up followed by the Subway Series this weekend.

If you are looking for a place to make a bet on one of these games online betting seems to be pretty popular these days.

Here are some notes:

Posada, Jeter Bring Brooms And Déjà Vu back to New York

New York Yankees brought out their brooms in the Bronx, as they swept the Houston Astros over the weekend.

The Yankees were without Arod, but you wouldn’t know it by the way the team beat-on the Astros.
