On Thursday, Yankees manager Joe Girardi finally announced his starting outfield for the 2010 campaign.

We already know Nick Swisher is the right fielder. But with Johnny Damon and Melky Cabrera both moving on, the Yankees outfield was guaranteed to have a new look. A younger and more athletic look.

The Yankees traded for All Star Curtis Granderson back in November, and he officially will be the new Yankees' centerfielder for the next couple of seasons.

The Yankees have been pretty lucky as far as injuries are concerned in that nothing major has happened, but that doesn’t mean that a few of the players haven’t been banged up quite a bit.

This is my sixth and final division preview before the 2010 season kicks off in the first week of April.  The AL East is home to some strong teams that hold high aspirations for 2010, including a World Championship.  Here is the breakdown (in alphabetical order):

Baltimore Orioles

The group of baseball bloggers known as Baseball Bloggers Alliance (BBA) announced today a partnership with former Yankees reliever Goose Gossage. The Hall of Fame reliever agreed to lend his name to the organization.

BBA is naming one of their annual postseason awards after Gossage. The award that goes to the top relief pitcher in each league will be called the Goose Gossage Award.

“Hey Hey Hey!” According to a recent press release, New York Yankee ace CC Sabathia has agreed to play Fat Albert in the sequel to the 2004 film of the same name. Sabathia will take over for Keenan Thompson, who played the title character in the first movie.

Filming of Fat Albert 2: When Pudding Attacks is set to begin the day after the 2010 World Series, which the Yankees are expected to win.

Switch pitcher Pat Venditte got a chance to show off his stuff in the big league camp for the Yankees yesterday. He pitched 1.1 innings allowing one run, two hits, and a walk. Here are some pictures:
