Have you drafted your fantasy team yet?  

If you haven't, there are sure a lot of fantastic third base options in this year's draft.

Miguel Cabrera, David Wright, Adrian Beltre, Evan Longoria and Hanley Ramirez; with so many options at third base, it's tough this year to decide at what order in the draft you should add your third baseman. 

Rookie closer Bruce Rondon entered spring training as the heavy favorite to become the Detroit Tigers' closer in 2013. After three appearances so far, Rondon is what most thought he would be. He has an overpowering fastball, control issues and needs to incorporate more breaking balls.

The best part about MLB spring training is that fans get a glimpse of prospects they don't get to see regularly. In some cases, these players turn in great springs and earn themselves a roster spot for Opening Day.

This year has been no exception. A bevy of players are starting to make some noise in the early days of spring training in hopes that they will get a spot playing in the show.

Competition always brings out the best in athletes.

One of the battles the Yankees will have this spring is for the No. 5 spot in the rotation.

The contestants: Ivan Nova versus David Phelps.

The last memory fans have of both pitchers was Nova getting removed from the rotation due to an extremely poor second half and Phelps pitching well in just about every opportunity he got.

The offseason has been abound with rumors that Dodgers right fielder Andre Ethier might be traded.  GM Ned Colletti repeatedly squashed them, but reports surfaced that both the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners were interested.

Last season the Cincinnati Reds starting five made 161 of 162 regular season starts. The only exception being the back end of a doubleheader that saw Todd Redmond take the mound for 3.1 innings. This remarkable stretch of health is far-and-away the exception to the rule in baseball—a task that will most likely not be duplicated by them again.

Some love it and some hate it, but what's true either way is that Major League Baseball fans can't escape WAR. 

The World Baseball Classic is not only a competition between the best national teams in the world, but it is also a showcase for some of the best young players in the sport.

Obviously, the games will feature veterans that are already household names like Miguel Cabrera and Mark Teixeira, but a few other men will utilize this competition to boost their profile for the major leagues.

In the wake of Curtis Granderson's broken forearm, which will sideline the outfielder for 10 weeks, the 39-year-old veteran was willing to take a minimum deal to come back to the Bronx.

Looking at the rosters for the World Baseball Classic, there are few squads with more talent than Team USA. However, that does not mean it will be an easy path to victory.

The United States has struggled in the past events due to various reasons, most notably a lack of interest in the event. It is hard to stay focused when there is an entire regular season still ahead.
