When two opposing forces meet, the results can be explosive. We see it in television, movies, and even in our everyday sayings (the unstoppable force vs. the immovable object, or more simply, red vs. blue).

At the start of the season it was a question as to whether Jaime Garcia would even be on the team or sent down to AAA. He didn't receive the media attention of Atlanta's Jason Heyward, or Washington's Stephen Strasburg, but he's had the type of season the latter was expected to have. Yet, when it comes to the Rookie of the Year talk, those two, and the fresh Buster Posey, are at the forefront of the conversation. For whatever reason, Garcia's historic rookie campaign is getting pushed to the backburner.

The Cy Young Award is one of many awards that typically sparks debate over whether or not the right player won; think back to when Bartolo Colon won the award in 2005, a year when he led the league in essentially one statistical category, wins.

Although it may seem strange, this year the Phillies feet have played a big role in their season.  Whether it be injuries, or balks, or just plain mess-ups, the Phillies have had some eventful things happen to them that involved feet.  Here is a list of some of them:

The New York Yankees are probably coming close to putting a list of September call-ups together. Kei Igawa may have just lost his spot on that list. The Japanese right-handed pitcher pitched for his country in the Little League World Series but did not perform to the high expectations that were set for him. 

It is almost September. And taking the 2010 Mets season into consideration? La-di-da. Either way, the September roster expansion is looming. Based on some of the more productive members of the Mets farm system, there are indeed some guys I’d like to see before seasons end. Here are five guys that will, or at least should get recalled for the last month of the season.
