Lou Piniella led the Cincinnati Reds to glory in 1990 as the manager during the team’s last World Series championship. The franchise is reportedly bringing him back in 2016, albeit in a different fashion.

Veteran right-hander Gavin Floyd has found a home for 2016, agreeing to a deal with the Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday, pending a physical, according to Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish, as he hopes to squeeze out at least another year of ball.

The Toronto Blue Jays and superstar Josh Donaldson are preparing for an arbitration hearing, but the club reportedly wants to keep him on a long-term basis.

According to the Dodgers' official Twitter account, Maddux and Ibanez have joined the team as special assistants to the president of baseball operations and baseball operations department.
