The Boston Red Sox were hoping to avoid a Game 4 in the American League Division Series against the Tampa Bay Rays, yet that is exactly what is on the table.

After Chipper Jones played his entire 19-year career with the Atlanta Braves, his former teammates apparently took incredible offense to the retired player's recent comments.

The Tampa Bay Rays stayed alive in Game 3 with a walk-off home run by Jose Lobaton. Meanwhile, the Detroit Tigers have as much talent as anyone in the majors and are always capable of coming through with a big game.

Up until the bottom of the ninth inning, it seemed as though the Boston Red Sox would pull off a three-game sweep of the Tampa Bay Rays. But with one swing of the bat, Rays catcher Jose Lobaton smacked a walk-off solo home run (419 feet) off Koji Uehara to keep the team’s hopes alive.

Fact: Boston Red Sox slugger, Ted Williams (1918-2002), missed almost five full baseball seasons while serving as a fighter pilot in WWII and in the Korean War and still managed to hit 521 home runs.
