The funny thing about baseball’s unwritten rules is that they find themselves written down eventually.

And, just to be sure, I’ll prove it:

Don’t steal a base when leading by six runs in the eighth inning.

Don’t try to break up a no-hitter with a bunt.

Don’t make the first out at home plate.

Don’t walk the leadoff hitter.

Don’t walk the pitcher, no matter where he’s hitting.

Don’t swing at the first pitch if you make an out doing so.

Everyone knows players like Troy Tulowitzki and Miguel Cabrera are among the automatic selections in fantasy if you can get them, but finding sleepers in baseball is a tough task.

Opening Day in the major leagues is Sunday, and most fantasy baseball owners have already participated in at least one draft. If you're like me, you're likely open to joining a couple more leagues, even though you probably shouldn't.

I've never been comfortable with the Yankees' current catching situation.

Especially because the Yankees lost their previous one, who was looking for more money, to free agency.

And then, I got an idea for a potential starter.

You don't win 11 World Series championships by stumbling upon them blindly. The St. Louis Cardinals, with the second-most World Series titles in the history of baseball, have almost always been a shrewdly run organization.

Throughout their history, the Cardinals have consistently managed player evaluation, player development and the team's payroll with world-class precision.

I’ve recently taken a look at some starting pitchers and relievers who could be available by midseason, assuming their team is out of contention or just has a lot of depth and is looking to upgrade in another area.

In Major League Baseball, there comes a time when teams must detonate their foundations and start rebuilding from scratch. Even World Series contenders must flip the switch eventually.

There's just one problem when it comes to World Series contenders: They tend to be stubborn folk.
