There was no way the Tampa Bay Rays could be fooled three times in one season, could they? First it was Dallas Braden. Then it was Edwin Jackson.

The Toronto Blue Jays not only sweep the Tampa Bay Rays, they dominated in all aspects of the game in their recent series.

In the first game of the series, Toronto capitalized on Tampa's mistakes, as two of their runs were unearned.

We also saw the first of Toronto's strong pitching performances in the series, with Brett Cecil going seven complete innings while giving up one earned run on four hits.

Hammond Stadium, the home of the Fort Myers Miracle, showed why it was miraculous.

Even driving through the entrance was entertaining, as the stadium showed its great curb-side appeal with a fountain and two lines of giant palm trees.

With this welcoming kind of feel, the mood was light as spectators were ready for a great evening of competitive baseball.

The New York Mets released Alex Cora on Saturday, putting an end to Cora's two-year stint here in New York. It wasn't a easy move by the front office, but it made sense. Cora is batting just .209 and his vesting option for 2011 was approaching.

J.P. Arencibia may have surprised most baseball fans on Saturday by hitting his first Major League pitch over the fence and then homering again in the sixth inning for the Toronto Blue Jays. However, the Blue Jays organization has been expecting this kind of power from Arencibia due to his power production in the minors this season.

So are the Rockies done yet? 2-2 against the Pittsburgh Pirates, including a heart breaking home run walk off on Saturday night seemed to be the gut punch rip your heart out end of the season.

Something magical happened at Progressive Field on Saturday night.

In a beautiful, star-studded pregame ceremony, longtime Cleveland Indians leadoff hitter and center fielder Kenny Lofton was inducted into the Indians Hall of Fame.

For anyone who is too young to remember the 90’s, Lofton was the archetypal dynamic leadoff hitter—a latter-day Rickey Henderson. From 1992-1996, he hit .316 with an .820 OPS, averaging 78 steals and 129 runs per 162 games.
