Here’s a look at the unheralded players who played well yesterday.

Six Current Los Angeles Players Damaged by Dodgers Management

At the beginning of the 2010 season, hopes and dreams in Dodgertown were filled with very high expectations.

Not only did the Los Angeles Dodgers expect to return to the playoffs, but many thought that this could also be the year that the Blue Crew would return to the World Series for the first time in over 20 years.

However, with just over one-quarter of the season remaining, Los Angeles has been on a turbulent roller coaster ride and finds itself in an almost impossible position to even make a run at the wild card spot in the playoffs.

There's No Light at the End of the Tunnel for the Oakland A's

When Billy Beane made no moves at the All-Star break to improve the Oakland A's lineup, it was only a matter of time before the overachieving A's squad started to crumble, and now that time has come.

Over the last 10 games the A's have gone 4-6 and went from second place in the American League West division, to third place, with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim now one and a half games ahead of the A's.

Baltimore Orioles 2010 Draft Update: Who's Going To Sign, Who's Not?

We're only one day away from the Major League Baseball draft signing deadline, and so far, it's looking like the Orioles draft is shaping up to be one of the most impressive of any team, and, by the way, one of the more expensive.

As of today, the O's have signed seven of their top ten picks, with the lone exceptions being number three overall pick Manny Machado, sixth-round pick Dixon Anderson, and seventh-rounder Matthew Bywater.

Philadelphia Phillies Need Their Bats To Wake Up For Cole Hamels

Cole Hamels is back. The World Series MVP we had come to know and love is pitching the way we know he can. There is no more of that mental crap from last year. He has been on fire. His stats show that—well, at least in every category except wins.

Shutouts Keep Coming At Citi Field, But Mets On Losing End This Time

NEW YORKThe shutouts continued tonight at Citi Field, but this time the Mets were the losers. Facing Phillies ace Roy Halladay, the Mets not only didn't hit, but their fielding was atrocious.

When a pitcher like Halladay is the opposing pitcher, a team can't make mistakes, and the Mets made three errors in a three-inning span.

Can MLB Umpires Own Up To Their Mistakes?

For the past month the marlins have had a rough time with umpires and controversial calls.

The first event was the foul ball that was fair and would've given the marlins a walk off win against the NL east rival Phillies.

Now just recently against the Reds, in a rather important series, Marlins catcher Bret Hayes was in an at-bat where he was hit on the leg with a pitch and the home plate umpire called it a foul tip.

Chipper Makes The Right Choice in Comeback Attempt

While most 38 year old third basemen with 17 MLB seasons under their belts would probably call it a career after tearing their ACL with fifty games left in the season, Chipper Jones is going to rehab his injury with spring training in mind. How Jones' body reacts will remain to be seen, but this comeback is a must.
